Educational and Physical Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification Candidates must hold a graduate degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Age Limit (As on 01.08.2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age:
    • Unreserved (Male): 37 years
    • Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class (Male & Female) and Unreserved Female: 40 years
    • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (Male & Female): 42 years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • Bihar Government Employees: A relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable, provided the candidate has not already used 5 attempts in competitive exams organized by the BPSC.
    • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): An age relaxation of up to 10 years is applicable.
    • Ex-Servicemen: An age relaxation of 3 years plus the duration of their service in the defense sector is applicable, provided their age does not exceed 57 years on the application date.

Application Fee

Each candidate is required to pay a total of ₹100/- as the examination fee. In addition, candidates who do not provide their Aadhaar number as an identity proof in the online application will have to pay an additional Biometric fee of ₹200/-.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a written objective-type examination. There will be no interview. After the written exam, a document verification will be held where candidates must present the original copies of all claimed documents. A final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination.

The written exam consists of three objective-type papers. There is a negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer.

Preparation Tips

The syllabus for the examination is as follows:

  • General Language: Questions will be designed to check the candidate's understanding and usage of the language.
