Vacancy & Overview

The Staff Selection Commission has announced a total of 3,091 vacancies for Sub-Inspector posts in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) for 2025. This includes posts for both male and female candidates across various forces like CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, and SSB. The roles are Group B Non-Gazetted and Group C Non-Ministerial.


Educational Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent. Those appearing in the final year of their degree can also apply but must produce proof of the qualification by the last date of application. Degrees obtained through Open and Distance Learning from recognized universities are valid except for certain professional courses. Male candidates applying for Delhi Police must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (two- and four-wheelers) at the time of Physical Test.


Age Limit

Age as on 01.08.2025 must be between 20 and 25 years. Relaxations apply as follows:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years (with conditions)
  • Departmental candidates of Delhi Police: Up to 30-35 years based on category

Application Fee

  • General/OBC candidates: ₹100
  • Female, SC/ST, and Ex-Servicemen (eligible for reservation): exempted
  • Payment mode: Online only (Net Banking, BHIM UPI, Debit/Credit Cards)

Salary Structure / Pay Scale

The pay scale for the Sub-Inspector posts is Level-6, Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix. This includes standard allowances as applicable under the Central Government.


How to Check Exam City / Admit Card

Approximately 10 days before the examination, exam city details will be published on the official SSC regional websites. Candidates should visit the regional SSC websites and enter their Registration Number and Date of Birth to check their exam city.

Admit cards will be available for download online 2-3 days before the exam date. Candidates must download the admit card and carry a printed copy along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam center.
